Tobacco Summit

There are less than 10 spots left for the 2011 Alaska Tobacco Summit Youth Track! Join other teens from all over Alaska for a great time learning about how you can positively impact your community from the dangers of tobacco and secondhand smoke! Learn fun, new, creative advocacy ideas with lots of hands on projects!

Youth registration closes April 8 and is on a first come, first served basis. All youth attendees must have a designated chaperon and the following form completed and submitted to Information Insights:

2011 Tobacco SummitJoin us in promoting a healthy Alaska through reduction of the effects of tobacco. This two-day conference will focus on tobacco prevention and cessation, impacts of secondhand smoke, and preparing communities for change. ATCA is excited to have the summit in Palmer on April 27 – 29 this year, where we will enjoy meeting spaces and venues throughout downtown (walking distance from one another). A draft conference agenda and a draft youth track agenda are available for download below. These schedules are subject to change, but they give a general idea of what will happen at the conference and how it is structured. Stay tuned for details and registration! Summit Chair Becky Stoppa welcomes your ideas and involvement in planning content, local hosting activities, the awards reception or helping get the word out.
